All processing happens on your device
Sllo's wake-word detection, voice commands, and speaker verification run entirely on your phone. No audio recordings, voice profiles, phone numbers, or call metadata ever leave your device. The Android app has no backend servers and collects no analytics. This website is separate — see This website below for the two third-party services it uses.
Permissions we request and why
- Phone state — to detect incoming and ended calls so we can duck and restore your music volume.
- Microphone — to listen for the "Hey Sllo" wake word while Drive Mode is active. Audio is processed in memory and never stored or transmitted.
- Bluetooth — to detect when your car's audio system connects and enable Drive Mode automatically.
- Physical activity — to detect vehicle motion as a fallback for Drive Mode.
- Notifications — to show the foreground-service status notification Android requires.
- Caller ID app role (optional) — so Sllo can learn an incoming caller's number and announce it while you drive. Sllo only reads the number; it never blocks, silences, or hides a call.
- Notification access (optional) — so Sllo can read the caller's name from your phone app's incoming-call notification, which works for saved contacts. Sllo reads only that notification; all others are ignored, and nothing is kept after the call.
- Contacts (optional) — to announce a caller by name instead of reading out digits. The lookup happens on your phone; contacts are never copied, stored, or sent anywhere.
Voice enrollment data
If you enable "Only me" mode, a small numeric voice embedding (not a recording) is stored locally on your device. It is erased from the device as soon as you switch "Only me" mode off, and when you uninstall the app.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Google Play and RevenueCat. We receive only an anonymous subscription status — never your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details on their processing.
This website
sllo.online is a static site hosted on Vercel, which records standard server request logs. Two features involve other companies:
- Waitlist and investor forms — what you submit (your email address and the option you pick; on the investor form also your name, firm, typical cheque size, profile link and message), plus the campaign tag of the link that brought you, is sent to and stored by Formspree, a form-handling service in the United States. We use it to send you a short series of product updates and the launch announcement, or — if you asked as an investor — to reply to you personally. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us at the address below to delete your details at any time.
- Demo audio — the interactive demo plays music through an embedded YouTube player, served from youtube-nocookie.com. It loads as soon as the home page opens, not when you press play, so Google receives your IP address on that first visit and may set cookies under its own privacy policy. Nothing on this site sets analytics or advertising cookies of our own.
